Whether your solo or leading a team, here's what people ask first
If you're the reason nothing moves when you're out of the office, if decisions pile up waiting on you, or if you built something that now runs you instead of the other way around, that's usually the signal. Coaching isn't about fixing something broken, it's about building the structure that lets your business grow without needing more of you.
The Reality Check is a free 10-minute assessment that shows you exactly where your business is running on systems, and where it's still running on you. No guesswork, no generic advice, just a clear picture of what's actually happening underneath the day-to-day. It's the first step for almost everyone who ends up working with me.
Everything I do runs through the same four-stage framework: Stabilize, Discern, Align, Execute. First we get the immediate chaos under control, then get honest about what's actually going on underneath it, then build real alignment around direction, then execute with systems that hold once we're done working together. It's the same structure whether we're working one-to-one, in a group program like the Clarity Path, or with a full leadership team.
Both. If you're solo, the work is about building the systems and decision-making structure before you're buried by growth. If you've got a team, whether that's a handful of people or a full leadership group, the work shifts toward alignment: making sure the people around you are operating from the same clarity you are, not guessing at it. I do individual coaching and team-based leadership work, so this isn't an either-or.
Both. Alongside one-to-one and group coaching for business owners, I facilitate leadership programs for organizations, including 360 debriefs, leadership skills labs, and cohort-based coaching. If you're a founder, this often ends up being the natural next step once your own clarity is in place and it's time to bring your leadership team along with you.
Yes. DISC, Motivators, Emotional Intelligence, 360, and Leadership Effectiveness assessments are all part of how I work, both with individuals and with teams. They're not a personality-test gimmick, they give us a real, specific starting point instead of guessing at how someone leads, decides, or handles pressure. For team engagements especially, this is often where the real misalignment shows up first.
The Clarity Path is a 10-week group program built to get you out of reactive mode and into a clear, structured plan, it's the reset. The Ecosystem is the 52-week rolling group coaching container that keeps that clarity and momentum going long after the reset, ongoing support, accountability, and course correction as things actually unfold in your business. Most people start with the Clarity Path and move into the Ecosystem once they're ready to sustain the shift, not just make it.
Most people notice change within the first few sessions, clearer decisions, less noise, a plan you can actually act on. How far that goes and how long it lasts comes down to how much work you put in between sessions. Coaching gives you the structure and the mirror, what you do with it is what determines the timeline.
A therapist helps you understand and heal from your past. A business coach helps you build what's next. There's overlap, both deal with patterns, self-awareness, and behavior, and with my psychology background I bring more of that lens into the work than most business coaches do. But the focus stays forward and structural: what has to change in how your business runs, not just how you feel about it.
A consultant tells you what to do. A coach helps you build the judgment and systems to figure it out yourself, and keep figuring it out long after the engagement ends. I lean coach, not consultant, because the goal isn't dependence on me, it's a business that runs without needing either of us in the room.
A leadership coach focuses on you, how you lead, communicate, make decisions under pressure, and show up for the people around you. A business coach focuses on the business itself, the systems, structure, and strategy that let it run well regardless of who's in the room. Most people need both, they're not actually separate problems. That's why I do both, leadership effectiveness work through individual and team-based coaching, alongside the business systems work through Wright Step. If you're not sure which you need, that's a normal place to start, the Reality Check usually makes it obvious pretty quickly.
A wide range, that's genuinely one of the things that sets this apart. Over 500 leaders and 2,500-plus hours of coaching, from CEOs and CFOs in large corporations to solo entrepreneurs building something from the ground up. Through Wright Step, Level 52, and prior corporate leadership work, I've supported more than 11 different business lines, everything from emerging leaders to the coaches supporting them. Industries span nonprofit, finance, engineering, oil and gas, tech, construction, and small manufacturing, with a consistent focus on leadership effectiveness across all of it. If you're wondering whether your industry or your company's size is a fit, the honest answer is: probably, the range has been broad by design.
Beyond running Wright Step from Calgary, I'm on the leadership team for both CBWN Calgary and the eWomenNetwork Calgary chapter, and I volunteer as a business advisor with YW. I've also spent years on nonprofit and community boards, over a decade as treasurer for Allies for Autism, Director of Culture for the 2023 Alberta Summer Games, and time volunteering with the Calgary Distress Centre. None of that is required reading for working together, but it's part of why the people I work with tend to trust the process, this isn't a side hustle or a recent pivot, it's a long-standing commitment to leadership and community here.
